Ty Simpkins is doing pretty well for 12-years-old: He appeared in War of the Worlds in 2005 when he was only three, then went on to star in the Insidious franchise, as well as Iron Man 3. Now, he's about to head up a brand new franchise—Jurassic Park. According to Indiewire, 12-year-old Simpkins is set to star in the upcoming highly-anticipated Jurassic World, which is being helmed by Safety Not Guaranteed's Colin Trevorrow

There's no word on what his actual role will be—details about the story and characters are being kept tightly under wraps—but it is indicative that Universal is planning on completely relaunching the franchise with a whole new generation starring. There are also rumors that Trevorrow will be bringing on New Girl and Safety Not Guaranteed star Jake Johnson to join the cast too but that hasn't been confirmed. In addition to Simpkins, though, Bryce Dallas Howard is set to star in the dinosaur as well.

It'll likely be a while before any plot details are released—for now, Jurassic World is set to be released on June 12, 2015.
