Telltale Games, the developers of the critically and commercially acclaimed The Walking Dead video game is finally releasing Season 2 of the heart-rending adventure. The Walking Dead Season 1 delivered one of the most gut-wrenching and tear inducing gaming experiences we’ve ever seen, staying true to the darkness portrayed of society shown in the graphic novels.

Check out the trailer above for very little information. Here’s what we do know: The game’s main protagonist will be Clementine, the resilient little girl who in the last moments must leave Lee Everett, her protector, in Season 1. Season 2 will pick up directly where the Season 1 cliffhanger left off.

One amazing thing about the series is that there are so many decisions that have very real consequences about who lives and dies. Not only will these carry from episode to episode by now they will carry over from Season 1 to 2.

Pre-orders are only available for PC and Mac gamers and it’s worth it. Save a few bucks on the episodic releases and when the season wraps you’ll get an exclusive DVD of the episodes.

But don’t worry console gamers it will release on PS3, Vita, Xbox 360 and iOS as well. Telltale says it may even release the game on other platforms, whatever that might be.

The Walking Dead Season 2 is set to drop this holiday season. Cuddle up with a warm mug of Egg Nog, turn all the lights on and try not to screw up everyone’s life while learning the fate of little Clem.
