A new, extremely disappointing study claims that more people would rather jumpstart their day with coffee than sex. Happy Monday, folks..
The survey, conducted by Le Méridien hotel group, found that a depressing 53 percent of guests preferred coffee over sex in the morning. It also revealed a more disturbing trend: 78 percent of respondents would rather give up the holy trinity of sex, alcohol and social media for a year than suffer through the same period without coffee.
The study polled people from six countries—including the U.S.—and highlighted how important coffee is to their completion of daily rituals. Sixtreen percent of respondents said the needed their caffeine fix in order to deal with other people; 22 percent said it was necessity for getting out of bed and 25 percent felt less creative without it.
