This sequence of events basically illustrates the findings of a McMaster University study which claims that men with deeper voices are less likely to be faithful, but women still prefer them for short-term, meaningless sex romps.
The study involved 87 women being asked to listen to a man's voice, which was altered to sound lower or higher. They were then asked to determine how attracted they were to him, as well as the chances that he would cheat on them. The women decided that the men with deeper voices were more likely to cheat, but were still the prefered option for no-strings-attached dealings.
