Brooklyn'sMcCarren Park Pool will undergo the long-awaited transformation to an ice skating rink, which will finally open next month. According to Gothamist, the NYC Parks and Recreation Department and the Open Space Alliance announced that the newly christened McCarren Rink will open Nov. 15. 

It will be open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., seven days a week through January. The opening will be accomapnied by a holiday market and food market as well. The rink will hold 300 people; skate entals will cost $5 and there will be a sharpening station and pro shop. 

Admission will be $8 for adults, $5 for senior and students and $4 for kids.
