OK, everyone, let's try this again. 50 Shades of Grey has reportedly found its lead—for real this time, they promise. According to Variety, Irish actor Jamie Dornan has officially signed on to portray Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of E.L. James' erotica. Sorry, everyone who was hoping for Ian Somerhalder.
This news comes after Charlie Hunnam came to his senses dropped out of the film due to "scheduling conflicts" with Sons of Anarchy. Instead, Dornan will star opposite Dakota Johnson in the upcoming S&M flick, which is set to be directed by Nowhere Boy's Sam Taylor-Johnson.
So, who is Dornan? In addition to previously modeling for Armani, Christian Dior, and Calvin Klein, the 31-year-old actor also appeared in Sofia Coppola's 2006 film, Marie Antoinette, in ABC's Once Upon a Time, and alongside Gillian Anderson in BBC Two's well-received drama, The Fall.
