Destiny, the new first-person shooter, adventure, multiplayer, role-playing hotness by Bungie, the makers of the Halo series, is sending out beta codes this week "randomly" to some lucky suckers.
"Destiny demands more."
In case you need a refresher, go ahead and drool over this next-generation trailer. But Bungie
might be jumping the gun since the multiplayer beta won't go live until the beginning of 2014. Don't receive a preorder code this week? Gamers can also get beta access when they pre-order for the current and next-gen Sony and Microsoft consoles.
"The Destiny beta, in many ways, is being treated like a full product launch. We can't just carve out three competitive multiplayer maps this time around. We'd only be gathering data on one facet of the overall experience--one that is arguably the least resource intensive and most well understood by our team. Destiny demands more." Said Bungie community manager Eric Osbourne.
