According to Brooklyn prosecutors, a man was arrested earlier this week for selling over 30 guns to an undercover police officer. Following a six-week investigation, 43-year-old Christopher McPhaul was arrested and charged with criminal sale of a firearm. If convicted, he could face up to 50 years behind bars.

McPhaul allegedly ran guns from North Carolina to New York City through text messages with the undercover officer. Coincidentally, NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly identified North Carolina and Virginia as the source of most of the city's illegal firearms.

At the moment, it's still unclear if McPhaul has legal representation. He's going to need it.
