Welp, the Fifty Shades of Grey fanatics have gotten their wish: Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam is out. So what happened? In an official statement, Hunnam cites Sons hectic shooting schedule as a conflict, but we know better. The man who currently leads one of television's most fearsome, ruthless gangs backed down in the face of shippers threatning nothing short of a riot if the cameras rolled with him as Christian Grey.
But more than likely, he probably decided the role didn't jibe with the run-and-gun, antihero action image he's been cultivating these past six years on SoA. On-set ball-busting from his MC constituents probably didn't help. Long live Charlie Hunnam, badass.
So, Matt Bomer, anyone?
