We've known for a while that Call of Duty: Ghosts was going to offer something a little more compelling than zombies this time around. Well it looks like we'll be battling with hive-building insect aliens, awesome.
Imgur user smtkz posted the image above which Activision has not yet verified but did release it own teaser on Instagram in response which shows the iconic white skull blending into something unworldly.
The sci-fi themed co-op mode is reported to include capturing points to place drills on top of hives and then blowing them up with explosives to eradicate the infestation.
Stay tuned for more information at Activision's new Extinction Mode and Call of Duty: Ghosts. Ghosts is set to drop next week, November 5, for current-gen systems with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions following when those systems drop later in November.
