The NYPD has turned to the public for help finding two men who stole $60,000 from the Bowery Whole Foods on Sunday night. Authorities say the crime occured when three employees were pushing a shopping cart of money to a second floor office around 10 p.m. Behind the elevator door were the two suspects, one of whom was armed with a gun.

An employee told Gothamist that the men zip tied her manager's hands behind his back and ordered the security guard to get down on the ground. She added that she never feared for her life, because she "figured [she] was just a silly girl," and that the suspects "just [wanted] the money."

According to Gothamist, the New York Post originally reported that the assailants made off with $26,000, but an NYPD statement said $60,000. Police ask anyone with any information to reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS, or via their website.
