Avatar fans, here's a tidbit to tide you over. Jake Sully himself, Sam Worthington, hit Australian radio station NovaFM to reveal that filming for the sequels will officially begin in October 2014. Mastermind James Cameron plans to follow his multi-billion dollar sci-fi epic with two sequels and then a prequel, which according to Worthington, will be filmed simultaneously in Peter Jackson-Lord of the Rings fashion.

He also added that most of Avatar 2's script has already been written, and "Jim is building the ship to Pandora," which tracks with earlier reports that Cameron intends to feature the universe's underwater ecosystem in the next film. Sounds like it's going to be a typically eye-popping affair. Avatar 2 hits theaters December 2016.
