Do you ever sit around your house and wonder how awesome it would be to be Iron Man?
It would be cool, right? But now, really, really, think about it: in our world, an Iron Man suit would be a straight-up killing machine. You'd have to ask J.A.R.V.I.S. to fly you home but stop to take a dip in the ocean to wash off all of the blood dripping from your armor. Well, all of this sounds like sweet, sweet music to the U.S. Army. The Army has just commissioned a Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit, which would let a soldier have super human strength, see at night, and have complete protection from bullets. The Army plans for it to have an on-board computer that will respond to many different situations, and give the wearer an enhanced awareness of their environment. MIT is currently developing liquid armor that may be used in the suit, which can turn from a "liquid to solid in milliseconds when a magnetic field or electrical current is applied." What the actual fuck.
As you probably assumed, the goal of this suit is to have complete protection, so a soldier can literally walk through a battlefield without getting injured. The suit will also be able to measure the wearer's temperature, heart rate and hydration levels.
No word yet if it will run Android or iOS.
