Tim Cook sent out a tweet earlier today that announced Cupertino's approval of Apple's new "spaceship" campus, which should be finished sometime in the middle of 2016.
"Our home for innovation and creativity for decades to come," Tim Cook called the new campus in the tweet; and it is a cause for celebration. The plan for the campus has already went through some difficulties, as the budget seemed to be skyrocketing, and the project's construction had already been pushed back once. Cupertino's panel will meet one more time on Nov. 15th to give the final go ahead on the campus, but the approval Apple won last night was the last bit they needed to go ahead and start building the 2.8-million-square-foot campus, that will house 14,200 employees on four floors—and will eventually be used to fly to Mars when Apple is ready to colonize the planet.
