Have you ever downloaded a video off of YouTube? If you have, you probably had to download some type of third-party browser plug-in or bust out another type of workaround, because YouTube sure as hell wasn't going to let you. But now that's set to change, somewhat.
Starting next month, YouTube is going to let people download videos for offline viewing through their mobile apps. That means you'll be able to download your favorite ripped song off of Drake's NWTS, and be able to play it on the subway or bus, even if you don't have an Internet connection. "This upcoming feature will allow people to add videos to their device to watch for a short period when an Internet connection is unavailable," the company wrote in a blog post. "So your fans’ ability to enjoy your videos no longer has to be interrupted by something as commonplace as a morning commute." But wait: short period of time? How long is that?
Turns out it's just 48 hours. Hey, how long is a three minute video going to keep you entertained, anyway?
