Xbox Rolls Out Music App for Android and iOS

Music in the palm of your hand.

In their continued competition with major online music providers such as Spotify, Google Play Music: All Access, Apple iTunes, and Rdio, Microsoft announced today it will be expanding its Xbox Music app to new platforms.

Only previously available on Xbox 360, Windows 8, Windows Phone and on the web, Microsoft announced it will make the Xbox Music app across all Android and iOS devices. This gives you the ability to download the app and have it on your Android cellphone, tablets and across all Apple devices such as iPods, iPhones, iPads and any Apple device running iOS version 6.0 or higher.

The app is up for download on both the iTunes store and Google Play Store for free with subscriptions available for $9.99 a month or $99.90 for a year. The Xbox Music app lets you search for songs on demand by title or artist and allows you to make playlists for later listening which other music apps of it's kind lack.

Check out the Xbox Music app and take them the 30 day free trial of the full version to see how you like it while still available.
