Origins Systems' classic Ultima 4: Quest of the Avatar has been released for iOS devices by developer Elite Systems, for free. The Commodore 64 version is released as a cross-promotional effort as its spiritual successor Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar, EA Mythic's free-to-play mobile game that was recently released.
Ultima 4 puts players in the realm of the newly minted Britannia and sets them on an RPG quest to master the principles of eight heroic virtues. According to details in the iTunes App Store, the free Ultima 4 version was made free-of-charge "courtesy of Mythic Studios."
