The United Kingdom's largest bakery chain has created their own version of Dominique Ansel's cronut. Thanks to Greggs, the "Greggsnut" exists. Did anyone stop and really think about the name for a moment?

The Greggsnut is available in two flavors (ha!): summer berry and creme, and caramel and pecan. Greggs is hoping that the Greggsnut is as overwhelmingly popular (i.e., ridiculous lines and supermodel endorsements) as the cronut is. Something tells us that the name might be a bit of a hinderance, if not a source of comedy. But hey, never say never.

Talk about dropping the ball, though.
