We've already hailed Trollhunter as one of the best, most underrated foreign films of all time, so of course here comes Hollywood to capitalize on the film's cult status and make a big-budget, English-language remake. The original film is a found-footage horror-comedy that follows a student film crew who happen into the government's secret operation of: troll-hunting.

Christopher Columbus is producing, and Neil Marshall has signed on to direct. You'll remember Marshall directed the new horror classic The Descent, and most recently the impressively executed "Blackwater" episode of Game of Thrones. He's still on deck to direct the fourth season finale. Production on the US Trollhunter is expected to begin early 2014.
