Riddick: The Merc Files in an iOS exclusive from some of the same developers who worked on Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. It drops in the App Store on September 20 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
The Merc Files is a touch-based stealth action game set in the Riddick universe and closely tied to the latest movie, Riddick: Rule the Dark. Gamers play as our favorite low-light killer to take out mercenaries trying they’re best to bring Riddick in. According to Tigon Studios, Vin Diesel's video game studio, The Merc Files is "the first new installment in the ongoing Riddick saga."
We're hoping they keep it up and have our fingers crossed for another big multiplatform title from the Riddick universe. The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay was one of our favorite games for the original Xbox and by far the best of the Riddick games so far.
