Gold is the new black, apparently.
Samsung has announced that it is releasing gold editions of its Galaxy S4, one brown and another pink, both coming with gold backplates. The company is launching the two phones in the middle east first, and if it picks up, we'll more than likely see gold editions over here in the U.S. as well.
This is coming only a couple weeks after Apple announced it would release the gold iPhone 5S—which is now one of the hardest phones to find, anywhere. (Unless you look on eBay, where you can find one going from $1,000 to $4,000, way past its $649 retail price—one even sold for $10,100.)
Smart move, or cheap trick by Samsung? Switch out the pink for a white-toned one, and they might have something.
