One of the premiere new tech startups at Disrupt SF, Pplconnect is a Montreal-based startup that is hoping to turn your smart phone into an entirely virtual device, making it accessible from any device using the power of the Internet.

The open beta is launching at TechCrunch Disrupt, and the way the device is works is by allowing you to 'log on' to your smartphone from a friend's phone, a computer, or a tablet, accessing your phone as though all of its memory was stored in the cloud. Pretty cool, definitely, but functionally useful, that remains to be seen.

What makes Pplconnect unique, however, is the custom user interface it provides for each device, making it more or less the ultimate and most convenient way to tether all of your information from each of your devices together. Still, while this is definitely a helpful app, it also stands to reason to question that unless your a high-powered business executive, do you really need all of your contacts and information at your disposal at all times?
