A new Phantasy Star has been announced as a PlayStation Vita exclusive in Phantasy Star Nova coming in 2014. During the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia's Press Conference today it was announced that the new title will be developed by tri-Ace.

The offline action RPG will be in the world of Phantasy Star Online 2. Not that most of us know what that means because it still doesn't have a North American released since being dropped earlier this year. Phantasy Star Online 2 was launched on Windows PC is Japan and was ported to the PS Vita shortly after testing the portability of the PC game and "giving players more places and opportunities to play the game would create something really new."

So one way or the other, North America will get some Phantasy Star love coming soon.
