Add to the list of Internet timesucks: Newemoticons.com.

Previously just a Twitter account, the newly launched site boasts over 500,000 possible emoticon combinations for users to play around with. Best of all: not only do users get to create emoticons, they are entrusted with naming them as well. From "Jabba The Hut" ༼ᄒ⑃ᄒ༽ to "Harry Potter" ^Ơ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡ᴗƠ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡^ there is no shortage of creativity.

"With the generator, it’s not so much about building new emoticons as interpreting them—taking a moment to give this assortment of characters a half-focused Magic Eye look and trying to conjure up what it is, exactly, that they capture," reports Kyle Vanhermet for Wired. "As you’re exploring the stunningly long list of contributions already cataloged on the site, you’ll quickly see how an on-point title can make all the difference."
