Microsoft Doesn't Want You to Have an iPad, So Much So That They'll Give $200 For Yours

Would you turn yours in?

None

Microsoft wants some iPads. Your iPad, that is.

Microsoft is quietly putting on a promotion that let's customers turn in a "lightly" used iPad 2, 3, or 4 for up to $200 store credit. They don't want you to leave without another tablet, though: the promotion is likely set up to get you to turn in your iPad and leave with a Microsoft Surface tablet. You see, Microsoft has too many Surface 1.0 tablets still on store shelves, and they need to move them before the next version is released. (Which is looking like late October, since the promotion lasts for a month, ending on Oct. 27.) This is a case of "putting two and two together," since you can, of course, buy whatever you want with your store credit. Gates and Co. are just hoping you do them a big one and choose a soon to be obsolete Surface RT tablet, which currently runs at $349. Hey, if you're in the mood for a change of scenery,  Windows might be good switch. Might.
