A river of tears was shed when it was announced in July that legendary New Jersey restaurant, bar and concert venue Maxwell's (1039 Washington St.) was closing. Here's some good news: it's been resurrected—in some capacity.

The jewel of Hoboken will reopen, functioning only as a restaurant and bar. According to co-owner David Post, Maxwell's stay open until a buyer has been found, which he prays won't take forever. "Hopefully, it won't take too long to make a sale. But even if I sold Maxwell's tomorrow, it would take 90 days for the license to transfer."

Maxwell's is currently on the market for $625,000, which covers the liquor license and accompanies a 10-year lease. Enjoy the food and the history while it lasts.
