Yesterday, a machine gun pistol was discovered inside of a locker at JFK International Airport. According to authorities, a contractor who was executing renovations found a Mac-11 machine pistol in a locked storage closet at Terminal 1 around 10:30 a.m. The New York Daily News says that the weapon was still inside of the plastic case that it typically comes in.
The contractor informed Port Authority police after the shocking discovery, and authorities seized the firearm. Police said they are investigating the origin of the weapon while also trying to determine how long it was inside of that closet. Just to give you an idea of how dangeroud the Mac-11 is, it can fire a 32-round magazine in under two seconds.
