Here's some random casting news to start your Monday afternoon off with: According to The Wrap, the only good thing to come of the "Blurred Lines" video, model Emily Ratajkowski, has been cast for a role in—wait for it—David Fincher's next film, an adaptation of the wildly popular Gillian Flynn novel Gone Girl.

Joining a star-studded cast featuring Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, and Tyler Perry, Ratajkowski will portray Affleck's character, Nick Dunne's mistress, Andie, "a beautiful college student who Nick has an affair," before Nick's wife, Amy (Pike) disappears. When Amy vanishes, Andie bands with Amy's parents to implicate Nick in the disappearance as it seems all signs point to Nick as being responsible. However, this wouldn't be a mystery novel without some sort of mystery, so it's safe to assume there's more to the story than that. The role of Andie was reportedly "hotly contested" by young Hollywood actresses.

Ratajkowski is, of course, best known for her role in Robin Thicke's controversial music video for his even more controversial song, "Blurred Lines," and before appearing in the video was a rather accomplished model.

Fincher's Gone Girl adaptation recently begun filming in Missouri, and will be released some time in 2015.
