There's an uneasy feeling in the air of D.C. today due to the potential shutdown of the federal government tomorrow. News that D.C. Public Libraries will remain open should calm at least some of this uncertainty. D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray plans to keep the city open tomorrow, when city libraries are actually slated to begin operating with extended hours.

George Williams, spokesman for DCPL, confirmed the plan. Below are the new library hours.

The threat of a shut down won't hault transportation either, as both the Metro and MARC will run tomorrow, regardless.
