FOX has tapped the Best Picture winner to helm the pilot for their upcoming mob drama, The Middle Man. Even if he wasn't already an executive producer on the project, the gig makes perfect sense—a 1960s Boston set-series about a young FBI agent versus the Irish-American mob...who else would you hire right now? Production will begin early next year, so expect casting announcements to follow soon.
