Now that everyone's calmed down a bit about Ben Affleck being cast as Batman in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, the question of the hour has become: Just what type of Batman will Affleck be? Well, sorry if you were really hoping for Boston Batman to become a thing, but according to Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara, Affleck's Batman will be less Bostonian, and more in need of a nap. That is, at least, what he said during a recent conference with investors to promote the film.
"[He will be] kind of tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for a while," Tsujihara explained. "[Ben Affleck] is perfect for the vision…we think it’s going to be huge."
So, basically, Ben Affleck got the job because he looks 'tired' and 'weary'? Starring in Gigli must have really taken a lot out of the poor guy. Maybe Parks and Recreation was on to something when they made Adam Scott cry as Batman during season four:
