If your were planning on purchasing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag next month and had ambitions of beating the whole game, you better have some free time on your hands.

In the true open world that Assassin's Creed IV presents, there is clearly an abundance of activities at your disposal. In a recent interview Ashraf Ismail, director of Assassin's Creed IV, was asked by gaming site Destructoid about gameplay length.

Ismail said, "One guy in the office actually did it two weeks ago for the first time. He got a 100% sync, which was mind blowing. This was one of our testers, so imagine he's a tester who knows the game really well. He's been working on the game for a year and a half. From zero to a hundred on one build [of the game], it took him 48/49 hours. The thing is, he knew what he was doing is the crazy part."

Nearly 50 hours for a programmer could translate into roughly 60-80 hours for gamers and potentially more for the casual player attempting to complete 100%.

Ismail, however, did reveal that the core storyline of Assassin's Creed IVtakes an estimated 20-25 hours to complete. The added hours come from countless side missions, open world naval combat, and discovering the massive amount of hidden content throughout the game.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flagis due out October 29 on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii U. Ubisoft also confirmed today they will be releasing Assassin's Creed IV for PC on November 19.

For those of you who want to wait for the next generation, Assassin's Creed IV comes out November 15 for Playstation 4 and November 22 for the Xbox One.
