Up until now, all the promos for American Horror Story: Coven have mostly consisted of creepy imagery and/or shots of Jessica Lange hovering above the ground. This is all great, of course, but they're not actual scenes from any episodes, so we don't exactly have a good idea of what to expect when the new season premieres in just a little over two (!!!) weeks.

Luckily, FX decided to take some pity on us and release an actual promo for the upcoming premiere episode, appropriately (and awesomely) titled "Bitchcraft." It only runs about 30 seconds in length, but it gives us our first look at Lange as the head bitch/witch in charge Fiona, as well as Taissa Farmiga as a confused (though seemingly well-intentioned) teenage girl just coming to terms with her witchy abilities. We also get our first glimpse of Kathy Bates as socialite-turned-serial killer Delphine LaLaurie, and Angela Bassett as legendary Creole voodoo practitioner Marie Laveau. Emma Roberts is there too, but you really just get to see Lange throw her against a wall with a flick of her hand. This new season is going to be awesome.

As executive producer Tim Minear explained in a recent EW interview, Coven is going to focus on a conflict between New Orleans-based voodoo witches and Salem witches—and judging by the looks of things in this trailer, the New Orleans witches aren't keeping things very civil. Can't we all just get along, guys?

You can check out the promo above. The new season of American Horror Story will premiere on October 9th.
