A study conducted by researchers at Cambridge University has learned that the brains of porn addicts respond in similar ways to those of alcohol addicts when they see liquor advertisements.

Dr. Valerie Voon, the study's lead scientist, explained the findings to the U.K.'s Sunday Times. "We found greater activity in an area of the brain called the ventral striatum, which is a reward center, involved in processing reward, motivation and pleasure. When an alcoholic sees an ad for a drink, their brain will light up in a certain way and they will be stimulated in a certain way. We are seeing this same kind of activity in users of pornography."

In obvious, yet somewhat-related news, the University of Sydney has learned that porn addiction is becoming more common because the Internet and other technology make it easily accessible. With that said, go see Don Jon this Friday.
