The 96-97' Miami Heat played with a passion that reflected hatred for every opponent. Future Hall of Famers Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway led the Heat to a 61-21 regular season record under coach Pat Riley. A tenacious defense held down by Mourning, P.J Brown and Jamal Mashburn were a trio many teams wanted no part of. Hardaway was one the best point guards the league had seen, and role players Voshon Lenard and Dan Marjele filled out the team, making them a all around threat. Their attitude and raw style of play often led to scuffles and brawls that many of us remember, especially Jeff Van Gundy, thus deserving a spot in NBA 2K14.
