Xbox One's DVR Functions Will Require an Xbox Live Gold Membership

Recording features restricted to highest membership tier.

None

Apparently the DVR function for the Xbox One, which will be used for recording and uploading footage, will be reserved for Xbox Live Gold members only.

This new information comes to us via the Xbox Live features page on Xbox.com. A Microsoft representative released a statement saying,

“I can confirm that Game DVR features will be available to Xbox Live Gold members only.”

Microsoft’s Game DVR is designed to record up to five minutes of in-game recordings. Gold members are also able to save the last 30 seconds of a game automatically if you're unable to access the recording/edit function. Thoughts? Let us know what you're thinking.
