2K andWWE 2K14 have announced details of its single-player campaign mode. Called 30 Years of WrestleMania, it will include more than 45 epic matches from the sport's history, including Hulk Hogan versus Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3 among others.
2K has recreated vintage arenas, crowds and attire as well as entrances to simulate each event. Players will be rewarded for authentically replicating match moves and outcomes. Don't remember all the matches? Don't worry, matches will be introduced with catch-up videos summarizing storylines and a toggle VHS-style video filter for older matches that puts you back into the gray, metal snow of all our favorite movies from 80s and 90s.
"The moments that happen in the WWE, the moments that happen in WrestleMania, the moments that define WrestleMania and the WWE live forever... They're much more akin to the big fight in a Rocky movie," WWE star Paul 'Triple H' Levesque said. "It's about characters and creating moments in time that last forever. And we've done that for the last 30 years with WrestleMania."
WWE2K14 will launch this fall and a full list of playable characters will be released last this week.
