You can love cronuts all you want, but this is ridiculous. Someone sent Gothamist this photo of two young women searching through garbage outside of Dominique Ansel Bakery Monday night in pursuit on cronuts. What they found was a cronut reject. "It wasn't even a finished cronut... it was burnt and unfilled," said Gothamist's source. The source added that it was a "really sad moment," especially after the women spazzed on a cook who ran outside and warned them that it wasn't safe to eat.
This is exponentially worse than trying to cut the bakery line. It's never that serious.
