Shortly after Google and Motorola's Moto X smartphone was released through AT&T, a Motorola Mobility employee announced that the phone would be available "within days" to other carriers. It looks like he made good on his promise.
You can now pick up Google and Motorola's creation via the Verizon website for $199.99 with a two-year contract. Got some extra cash and don't feel like getting another contract? You can pick it up without a contract for the full retail price of $600. The only downside to going the Verizon path with is that you won't be able to use Moto Maker, Motorola's customization system, to personalize your phone. So far, Moto Maker is still AT&T exclusive, with no signs indicating when Verizon or other carriers might get the option. Also, it's going to take a few more weeks for the phone to land at Verizon stores—as of now, it's online only. And Sprint people: Moto X is still planned to be released for you within the next few weeks.
