Police in the Dallas area have arrested the man accused of shooting eight people last night, killing four of them. According to the Huffington Post, the first shooting occurred at a Southwest Dallas home late last night; the other happened a mere 15 minutes later at a DeSoto, Tex. home some 10 miles away. Erbie Bowser was arrested at the second home, but DeSoto Police Capt. Melissa Franks said authorities did not have any information about his connection to the victims.

Authorities in Dallas were contacted around 10:30 p.m. and arrived to find that two of the four gunshot victims had died. He then rushed to DeSoto and allegedly killed two additional people, but an 11-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy survived the attack.

It was also reported that some type of explosive device was used in the DeSoto attack. Capt. Franks said she was unable to confirm, as the results of an ATF and Dallas bomb squad investigation were pending. The identities of the victims have yet to be released, and the Huffington Post reports that the survivors' conditions are still unknown as well.

Fanks also said that charges for Bowser were pending.
