Who knew the New York City subway could be such a rich source of artistic inspiration? The New York Transit Museum has a new exhibit—Album Tracks—featuring subway album art, so TimeOut picked their favorites and compared the LPs with the stations where they were photographed today.
Among the standout's are Shinehead'sChain Gang Rap, which was shot at the 125th Street station. There's also Billy Joel's very simple Turnstiles, which was photographed at the Astor Place 6station and finally B.T. Express' Do It ('Til Your Satisfied), which was shot at the LIRR's Nostrand Avenue stop.
It's beautiful when art inspires art.
