You have to appreciate people who get creative with food. Not like, "potato chip sandwich" creative, more like "cram a hamburger between two chunks of ramen" creative. If you're one of the first 100 people who manage to make it to New York City'sSmorgasburg before noon tomorrow, you will get to experience the creativity of the Ramen Burger.

The burger features a patty topped with shoyu sauce, arugula and scallions between two pieces of Sun Noodle ramen noodles. It's the creation of Keizo Shimamoto, who was previously the boss hog at Tokyo's Bassanova Ramen. He was supposed to play a key role in Bassanova setting up shop in New York, but he's no longer involved.

For the time being, he's making the Ramen Burger happen. Though this could've been created by some college student out of boredom years ago, it probably wouldn't look or taste as good as Shimamoto's.
