A man who ordered a $1,700 safe for his long rifles and shotguns got a rather dank surprise—300 pounds of marijuana worth $425,000 inside of it. "I've been in law enforcement for 47 years and I've never seen anything like this," said Sheriff John L. Lenhart of Shelby County, Ohio

The safe was manufactured by Champion Safe Co. and packaged by inmates at a Mexican prison. "Someplace between Mexico and the warehouse in Northern Ohio, the drugs got mixed up and put in the wrong safe and got delivered to the wrong person," Lenhart added. Authorities are looking for the truck driver, but have not been able to locate him. "Not only are we looking for him," said Lenhart, "but the bad guys are, too."

Police do not suspect that the man who ordered the safe was seeking anything more than a large container to store his weapons. The method of shipment did, however, the catch the attention of the DEA, because it prevents drug-sniffing dogs from sniffing out drugs. Authorities also believe that this was not the first shipment of its kind.
