Hungry for more Chivalry? Looks like you may be in luck. Developer Torn Banner is evidently partnering up with Spike TV’s Deadliest Warrior TV show for a new expansion to the historical multiplayer melee-fest featuring bloodthirsty soldiers from a range of historical eras. The accompanying announcement trailer only reveals Spartans and samurai thus far, but according to the game’s website it appears that at least four other time periods will be announced as the game draws closer to release.
Oddly, Spike cancelled Deadliest Warrior, a show that pit famous figures in history against each other in a what-if fight to the finish, so maybe this is their way of revising the brand. Despite the rep tie-ins usually have, though, hopefully Torn Banner can do history justice again.
