The 25 Most Anticipated Comic Books of Fall 2013

11. Forever Evil (DC Entertainment)

Writer: Geoff Johns
Artist: David Finch
Release date: September 4

In the wake of Trinity War comes Forever Evil, a seven-issue miniseries from DC Entertainment that sees the company’s greatest villains forced to stop the inter-dimensional Crime Syndicate from taking over the planet while the Justice League is presumed dead. Face it, you always secretly root for Lex Luthor and The Joker to win out, and in Forever Evil we’ll get just that.

We’re usually not the biggest fans of these large crossover events, but with the Justice League out of the picture, we’re hoping that Forever Evil eschews the morals and values of the good guys and instead brings us the blockbuster mayhem we crave. Also, word on the street is that something big happens with Nightwing in the first issue that will have fans enraged (and really, when aren’t they?) so we’re already calling it that Forever Evil #1 will be the most talked-about issue of the year.
