The official trailer for Showtime's upcoming Masters of Sex is here and it is gloriously NSFW, though not nearly as explicit as the actual series will undoubtedly be. The drama(edy?) chronicles the real life studies (beginning in the late '50s) conducted by William Masters (Michael Sheen) and his assistant Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan), who came to be known as the pioneers of the science of human sexuality, and the resistance they encountered from their atypically prude colleagues.
The clip promises we're in for some extremely kinky, uh, experiments. Yeah, science! Masters of Sex premieres Sunday, September 29 at 10, after the season premiere of Homeland.
