Lee Thompson Young, best known for his starring role in the Disney Channel series The Famous Jett Jackson, has died. According to TMZ, the actor's body was discovered in his L.A. home by his landlord early this morning.

Officials have confirmed the cause to be a gunshot wound, and are reportedly speculating that it may have have been self-inflicted. Young's landlord was called to check on the actor this morning when Young didn't show up on set for his role in the TNT series Rizzoli & Isles.

No further details have been made available at this time.

Young, though best remembered as Jett Jackson in the 1998 Disney series, also appeared in numerous projects like 2004's Friday Night Lights movie, and NBC's 2009-2010 series FlashForward.

He was 29. 

UPDATE: Young's manager, Jonathan Baruch, has confirmed that Young's death was a suicide. His statement:
