Last week we told you Vin Diesel and director James Wan were trying to make Fast 7 out to be the Dirty Dozen of the franchise, with a who's who of action stars and otherwise certified ass-kickers like 6'sGina Carano. Now, hot off the heels of Tony Jaa's casting, it's rumored that veteran badass Kurt Russell is in talks to play an unspecified role.
Coincidentally, Russell's last major role was Stuntman Mike, vehicular homicide extraordinaire in Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof. Apparently Russell's part was originally offered to Denzel Washington, so let the character speculation begin. Our suggestion: how about we merge universes and see Dominic Torretto versus the Stuntman? Here's hoping the talks work out. Fast 7 is due next July.
