“Journey” Developer Jenova Chen Teases New Game Info

ThatGameCompany's next game will reportedly focus on family.

None

In a recent interview with The New Yorker, ThatGameCompany’s Jenova Chen let slip a few details on the studio’s follow-up to the beautiful and enormously successful indie Journey.

We don’t know very much at all at this point, but Chen did say that like ThatGameCompany’s past games the as-of-yet untitled project will continue focusing its themes on nostalgia and emotional connection. Family will also reportedly play a big role, Chen said.

“A lot of people asked us why Journey didn’t let them play with friends or family, and obviously we had a reason – because that would have defeated the purpose of the game,” he told The New Yorker. “But for a game to be truly be accessible, to both children and adults and to men and women, it has to allow people to play with the ones they love.”

Chen also added that the game will be multiplatform and that it’s probably going to be another two years until it’s finished, all but confirming it’s a next-gen title. Can Chen and his studio really top Journey? Only time will tell. Check the link below for the full story.
