Not again. Health officials in Long Island are warning anyone who ate at a restaurant between Aug. 6 and Aug. 20 to get a Hepatitis A vaccination ASAP, just to be safe. Newsday reports that nearly 7,000 people could have been exposed.
According to the Suffolk County Department of Health, an employee at Southampton's Driver's Seat Restaurant tested positive, prompting the agency to offer free vaccinations to anyone who ate at the restaurant during that two week span.
The Department of Health asks anyone seeking more information about vaccination locations and times to call 631-787-2200.
